Jason Bohn carded a 4-under 67 to go to the top of the leaderboard in the OHL Classic at Mayakoba. The $6.1 million event got underway Thursday at the El Cameleon course at Playa del Carmen, located just south of Cancun in Mexico.

Bohn, a 41-year-old from Pennsylvania with two Tour titles, opened with rounds of 66 and 65. On Saturday, he posted six birdies and two bogeys to reach 15-under 198, a stroke ahead of Shawn Stefani, who had a 68.

Trailing Bohn by three are Czech-German Alex Cejka (68) and American Charley Hoffman (67).

Americans Andres Gonzales (66), Jerry Kelly (67) and Ken Duke (70), along with New Zealander Danny Lee (67), are tied for fifth at 202.

Fred Funk, a regular on the Champions Tour, is in ninth at 203 following a 69. The 58-year-old Funk had two birdies Saturday.

After opening with a 66 and a 64 to take over the 36-hole lead, Michael Putnam struggled to a 77. After playing the front nine in even par, the 31-year-old from Tacoma recorded two bogeys, a double-bogey and a triple - against just one birdie - for a 6-over 41 on the home half. He enters Sunday's final round nine strokes behind Bohn.
