Choi Joined by Two Others Atop RBC Heritage Leaderboard at Completion of Second Round

K.J Choi's scores of 70 and 67 held up after Friday's second round of the RBC Heritage was postponed to Saturday morning because of heavy rains. The $5.8 million PGA Tour event began Thursday at the Pete Dye-designed Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, S.C.

But two Americans also share the lead with the 43-year-old South Korean, an eight-time Tour winner. Jim Furyk polished off a 66 to also reach 5-under 137, and Ben Martin had a 68 to get to that number as well.

Scott Langley, who opened with a 66 for a share of the 18-hole lead with Matt Kuchar and William McGirt, carded a 73 and is at 3-under 139 with fellow American Billy Hurley III (69) and England's Luke Donald (69).

Nicholas Thompson, whose sister Lexi is a rising star on the LPGA Tour, carded his second straight 70 to reach 2-under 140 with Australia's Geoff Ogilvy (68), South African Charl Schwartzel (70), Kevin Stadler (69), Martin Kaymer (67) and Brian Harman (71).

Also at 2-under is defending champion Graeme McDowell. The Northern Irishman opened with a 71 and followed that up with a 69.

Jordan Spieth, who tied for second in last week's Masters behind winner Bubba Watson, has posted rounds of 69 and 74 to get to 1-over 143 on the par-71 course.

The 36-hole cut was set at 4-over 146. Among those missing the weekend are five-time Heritage winner Davis Love III, and 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup captain Tom Watson.

Third-round play was expected to start after the field was shrunk by the 36-hole cut. The Saturday forecast calls for thundershowers and an 80 percent chance of rain, with Sunday offering showers and warmer temperatures.
