College Player Has Two Aces in Same Round

Kassandra Komma, a senior at Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., had a dream round last week. The 22-year-old made two holes-in-one in the same round.

What made Komma's feat particularly spectacular is that the native of Niddatal Hessen, Germany, did it on back-to-back par-3s. The first ace came on the 177-yard third hole at the university's R&S Sharf Golf Course, and the second came soon after on the 107-yard seventh.

"After I had the first (hole-in-one), I couldn't believe it at first because I did not see it go in," Komma said.

"The people we passed were standing on the green and they were yelling, but I still couldn't believe it. The second one, I did not know what to do. I started tearing up because there was no way I could get another one.

"I guess you can say I had a good round of golf . . . to say the least."

Komma finished with a 3-under 69 in the Summit League tournament, her lowest-ever round ever as a member of Oakland's golf team.
