Crane Holds Lead in St. Jude Classic, Weather-Delayed for the Third Straight Day

For the third day in a row - and the fifth time in the tournament - the St. Jude Classic experienced a weather delay.

Before play was halted by nasty weather, Ben Crane still remained atop the leaderboard in the $5.8 million at TPC Southwind in Memphis.

Entering Saturday with a six-stroke advantage over the field off rounds of 63 and 65, Crane was at 13-under through six holes before the field was called off the course.

The 38-year-old from Portland, Ore., was 1-under in his abbreviated round. Four back is Troy Merritt (2-under through seven holes), while five behind is Tour rookie Peter Milnati (1-under through seven).

Six behind Crane are Retief Goosen, Camilo Villegas and Billy Horschel.

All of the leaders will need to complete their third rounds Sunday morning - weather permitting - Sunday morning before starting the final round.
