DJ & Paulina Say Hello to First Child

Dustin Johnson's fiancée Paulina Gretzky delivered the couple's first child on Monday. The baby boy was born in Los Angeles, where the couple now makes their home.

Johnson's agent, David Winkle, released a statement Tuesday on behalf of the 30-year-old pro and Gretzky. "Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning," the statement read. "Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably and in great spirits!

"We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received and plan to release further details in the coming days!"

The couple has not released the name of their new son. Paulina Gretzky is one of five children of hockey great Wayne Gretzky and his wife Janet.

Johnson has been on a personal leave from professional golf since last July, though a Golf.com report indicated he had been suspended by the PGA Tour for six months for failing multiple drug tests.

In his first interview since taking the leave of absence, Johnson told reporter Pete Thamel of Golf.com that he is "starting to become the person I want my kids to look up to."

In the article Johnson said he wouldn't return to competitive golf until Gretzky gave birth. It's possible the eight-time PGA Tour winner will make his season debut in next month's Farmers Insurance Open.
