Dufners Getting a Divorce

PGA Tour player Jason Dufner and his wife, Amanda, are getting a divorce, and the couple has already reached a settlement.

According to court documents filed March 16, the two had an "irretrievable breakdown of the marriage." A GolfChannel.com report added there was "a complete incompatibility of temperament that the parties can no longer live together."

The couple reportedly separated on February 17 and has been living apart. The divorce was expected to be approved by a judge and become final sometime in April.

Under the terms of the settlement, Jason Dufner will retain ownership of the couple's two homes in Auburn, Ala., with Amanda Dufner receiving $2.5 million. Neither Jason nor Amanda Dufner has publicly commented on the divorce.

After meeting each other through a mutual friend, the couple got engaged in 2011 and married in May 2012.

Jason Dufner has three victories on the PGA Tour, including the 2013 PGA Championship. The Auburn graduate has earned more than $7 million during his career.

In eight starts this year, he has made five cuts with his best finish a tie for 10th in the WGC-HSBC Champions in China. Dufner is currently ranked 52nd in the Official World Golf Ranking.
