Fathauer Earns Spot on PGA Tour

Derek Fathauer closed with a 2-under 68 to win the Web.com Tour Championship Sunday. The season-ending event on the PGA Tour's developmental circuit took place at TPC Sawgrass's Valley Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

The 28-year-old Floridian finished at 14-under 266 on the par-70 course, one stroke ahead of Eric Blair (68) and three in front of Jason Gore (69).

The victory, worth $180,000, earned Fathauer a full exemption on the 2014-15 PGA Tour and a spot in the 2015 Players Championship.

Adam Hadwin, who led the combined regular-season and Finals money list, tied for seventh. He, too, is fully exempt for next season and will receive a spot in the Players field.

The top-25 regular-season money earners on the Web.com Tour are all heading to PGA Tour next season.
