Hadley Wins Season Finale on Web.Com Tour

Though he didn't make it easy on himself, Chesson Hadley managed to hang in there long enough to win the Web.com Tour Championship. The development tour's season finale took place at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

After opening with three birdies to make the turn in 32, the 26-year-old North Carolinian had a spotty home half with four bogeys and two birdies. But he made it to the clubhouse at 1-under 69, finishing at 10-under 270 to win by two.

"It was just blackout golf today," Hadley said at greenside. "I tried to just not puke at myself."

Sharing second at 272 were Brendon Todd (65), Brad Fritsch (68) and Scott Gardiner. Gardiner started Sunday with a one-stroke lead over Hadley, but closed with a 72.

The $1 million event was the last of four tournaments where 25 players earned their PGA Tour cards for 2013-14. The top 25 are decided by a money list from the four tournaments; another 25 already qualified by placing in the top-25 on the Web.com Tour season-long money list.

With his second title of the year, Hadley, who didn't have to play in the final four, had already earned his card. To learn of the 50 players who qualified for next season's PGA Tour, visit http://www.pgatour.com/webcom/stats/stat.02670.html.
