Hur Rolls to Win in Alabama

Mi Jung Hur closed with a 6-under 66 to win the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic by four strokes. The $1.3 million, 72-hole event took place the Senator Course in Prattville, Ala.

The 24-year-old Hur, a native of South Korea, carded seven birdies and a bogey to finish at 21-under 267, well ahead of Stacy Lewis, who also shot a 66.

The victory for Hur, the second title of her career and first since the 2009 Safeway Classic, was worth $195,000.

Lewis, the top-ranked player in women's golf, had six birdies Sunday. She earned $119,198.

Hur began the final round tied for the lead with Paula Reto. But Reto, a rookie from South Africa, couldn't get much momentum going in the last round, carding two bogeys in her first three holes. She had three birdies through the 10th, but two straight bogeys on Nos. 11 and 12 led to a 73 and solo third place at 14-under 274.

American Kris Tamulis shot a 70 to end up in fourth at 13-under, while one stroke further back were England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff (65) and Thailand's Moriya Jutanugarn (68). Shadoff's 7-under score matched Sunday's low mark.

Americans Cydney Clanton (67) and Alison Walshe (69) shared seventh at 11-under, while another shot back were Kim Kaufman (65) and Sweden's Karin Sjodin (68).
