Kim in Front at Weather-Delayed Founders Cup

South Korea's Hyo Joo Kim followed up her opening 7-under 65 with a 69 Friday to take the halfway lead in the Founders Cup. The $1.5 million LPGA Tour event is being played at Wildfire Golf Club in Phoenix.

The 72-hole tournament has been playing catch-up because of a lengthy rain delay Thursday. As a result, Kim's 10-under 134 total is a stroke ahead of Stacy Lewis and Ha Na Jang and Kim Kaufman.

But Jang and Kaufman weren't able to complete their second rounds Friday. Jang was 5-under through 13 holes and Kaufman 3-under through 14 before darkness halted play.

Those two, along with dozens of others, will complete their second rounds Saturday morning before the start of the third.

Several players got up before dawn to start play on Friday. ''It's been a long 24 hours,'' said Lewis. ''Definitely, get some good rest tonight.''

''I was sleepy this morning,'' said the 19-year-old Kim said. ''I just played relaxed and I just think to myself, 'Hit soft.' That's the key for me.''

Lydia Ko enters Saturday at 7-under through 11 holes of her second round. Defending champion Karrie Webb was able to finish a 70 and is at the same number.
