Kim Stays in Front at Founders Cup

South Korea's Hyo Joo Kim maintained her advantage in the $1.5 million Founders Cup, an LPGA Tour event taking place at Wildfire Golf Club in Phoenix.

The 19-year-old South Korean carded a 6-under 66 to enter the final round at 16-under 200, two strokes ahead of Stacy Lewis, who shot a 67.

Americans Allison Lee and Kim Kaufman, who recorded a 9-under 63 and 70, respectively, are three strokes back. No. 1 Lydia Ko (69) and South Koreans Ha Na Jang and Mi Hyang Lee, who each posted 68s, were four back at 204.

"Been really good with the driver, second and third (shots), totally all the clubs. If I miss, I save, so I'm playing good," Kim told reporters in halting English. "All the putts feel good."

Added Lewis, who posted six birdies through 12 holes but was only able to log a bogey the rest of the way, "I like that this is a ball-strikers course, you can kind of go at some pins and sometimes you have to play away from them. It's a tricky golf course, but you can make a bunch of birdies."

Lewis was pleased to get the tournament back on track; a four-hour rain delay Thursday made for some long days the first three rounds.

"It's just nice to be done and to be able to focus on tomorrow and go through your normal routine in the morning."
