Ko Signs With Callaway


Lydia Ko is continuing her transformation from an amateur to a full-bore touring professional. After signing with agency giant IMG Worldwide and dropping her former swing instructor at home in New Zealand, the 16-year-old sensation has inked a deal with Callaway Golf. The announcement was made on Monday.

Callaway released the agreement Monday on its Facebook page. "We're very excited to announce the final addition of the year to #TeamCallaway, former World #1 Amateur and youngest-ever winner on the LPGA Tour, Lydia Ko," the Carlsbad, Calif., equipment giant said.

With the deal Ko - a two-time winner on the LPGA our - will play exclusively with Callaway and Odyssey equipment. Her first win as a professional came in the KLPGA Tour's Swinging Skirts World Ladies Masters in December.

Prominent Callaway players include Phil Mickelson, Harris English, Matteo Mannasero, and Yani Tseng.
