Landscapes Unlimited Re-Brands & Reorganizes Its Golf-Management Business

August 5, 2014. Landscapes Unlimited is a solutions-based company that provides clients with comprehensive expertise in the golf and recreation industries. For nearly 40 years, the mission of Landscapes Unlimited has been to understand the total needs of its customers from present to future, and foster relationships that can grow over time as needs change.

From golf course construction services, irrigation installation, and sports field construction to club operations management and consulting, Landscapes Unlimited's array of resources and professionals help deliver solutions owners may face in today's market. Its ability to provide customized solutions is defined by a quest to understand each customer's individual needs, with a dedication towards "being the best" not only during the delivery process, but also in establishing the lasting relationships it develops with clients.

Landscapes Golf Group, a division of Landscapes Unlimited, is one of the most respected and one of the nation's largest golf management companies. Over the past 25 years, Landscapes Golf Group has owned or operated more than 50 properties across 24 states, as well as internationally in China. Additionally, Landscapes Golf Group has provided short-term consulting and tailored club solutions services to owners and operators of golf courses around the world.

Going forward, the company will market and promote its management services under the widely recognized name of Landscapes Unlimited. "Our club solutions and management services business has been growing steadily in the past several years under the Landscapes Golf Group brand. However, we felt we were leaving something on the table by not taking full advantage of the name and reputation for quality that we have built at Landscapes Unlimited over the past 38 years," said Bill Kubly, Landscapes Unlimited's founder and CEO.

Landscapes Unlimited will continue to hold its golf course real estate portfolio in Landscapes Golf Group, LLC. "We really felt the need to separate the two business activities because they both require a full-time focus and different operational strategies," Kubly added.

Michael Jenkins, who has led Landscapes Golf Group for the past 15 years, will remain in charge of the golf course real estate assets, as well as participate in the strategic direction and business development of the entire company.

"Not many people realize it but Mike was Landscape's CFO for 10 years before he took on the company's strategic mission to grow the golf investment and management services business," added Kubly. "Mike is one of the few people in our organization who understands the entire breadth of the services Landscapes provides. He has been involved directly or indirectly in our golf and irrigation business for 25 years and with the club operations business for over 15 years.

"Mike is a leader in the golf course industry, known by many golf course designers, material and equipment suppliers, golf course owners and general managers. He personifies the essence of Landscapes Unlimited and has and will continue to support and represent all facets of our business."

Tom Everett will lead the management services company into the future as the new president of Landscapes Management Company. Tom started with Landscapes 20 years ago as a club general manager and has risen through the company to his most recent position of Vice President of Golf Operations, overseeing the operations of 25 clubs in the United States and China.

"Tom was the logical choice because he knows our management operations better than anyone. I am proud of him and hope that I had a little to do with preparing him to take that next step," noted Jenkins.

"Landscapes Unlimited has built a reputation over the past 38 years as being 'the best' in the industry. Bill has challenged me and our team to continue developing our management services business and to grow these services so that we are world-class in providing not only golf course construction and irrigation services, but management services as well," Everett said.

As part of the reorganization of Landscapes Unlimited's golf management business, Bryce Juedes has been promoted to Landscapes Management Company's Vice President, focusing on developing and executing the strategic plan for this business and leading its accounting and finance team.

As part of the transition, Mark Mattingly will be returning to Landscapes Unlimited as Landscapes Management Company's Vice President of Business Development. Mattingly will spearhead all new business development initiatives and activities for Landscapes Management Company.
