Monty Still Up by One at ACE Group Classic

Colin Montgomerie carded his second straight 6-under 66 to head into Sunday's final round of the ACE Group Classic with a one-stroke lead. The $1.6 million, 54-hole Champions Tour event is taking place at TwinEagles Golf Club in Naples, Fla.

After going bogey-free Friday, the 51-year-old Scotsman, a two-time winner - both major victories - on the American over-50 circuit, posted eight birdies and his first dropped shots of the tournament, a double-bogey on the par-4 ninth hole.

Trailing Montgomerie by one is Lee Janzen, who fired a 65, while four behind are Mexico's Esteban Toledo (67) and Scott Dunlap.

The 50-year-old Janzen, a two-time U.S. Open champion, had nine birdies and a double on the par-4 seventh to match the low round of the day.

Five back are Americans Jeff Maggert (65) and Olin Browne (66), and Germany's Bernhard Langer (66). The 57-year-old Langer logged four of his 23 career Champions Tour victories in 2014 en route to being the runaway winner of the season-long Charles Schwab Cup champion.

Canada's Stephen Ames (67) and American Bart Bryant (68) share eighth at 138.

Defending champion Kirk Triplett shot even-par 72 to fall into a tie for 15th at 140.
