New Private Club Concept

For those of you who feel golf has, once again, become a sport for the wealthy, here’s something which could reinforce that belief. Dream Catcher is a Colorado-based company that offers luxury travel destinations for well-to-do golfers. Its new Golf Membership plan offers members access to vacation homes in some of the world's most popular golf resorts along with privileges at many exclusive clubs. Dream Catcher's Golf Membership plan currently includes play at 20-plus courses, including:

• Amelia Island, Fla. - Ocean Link, Long Point, Oak Marsh
• Kiawah Island, SC - Ocean Course, Turtle Point, Osprey Point, Oak Point, Cougar Point
• Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - Cabo del Sol, Desert and Ocean Courses
• Scottsdale, Ariz. - The Boulders, North and South Courses

• Beaver Creek, Colo. - Beaver Creek Golf Club
• Jackson Hole, Wyo. - Teton Pines Palmer Course
• La Quinta, Calif. - TPC Stadium Course, Nicklaus Tournament Course, Greg Norman Course, Trilogy, Dunes Course

According to Dream Catcher CEO Scott Anderson, the Golf Membership plan is designed for vacationers wanting nothing more to worry about than improving their handicap. "For the price of membership to a single golf club you can have access to more than 20 courses and be treated like a member of each," he said. "Dream Catcher also assigns members a personal reservation assistant and destination hosts who arrange every detail of the trip, from stocking the home with favorite refreshments to making tee times and organizing private tournaments."

To ensure the plan satisfies the needs of its members, the club has on its advisory board former Masters and British Open winner Mark O'Meara, who helped craft the membership arrangement. O'Meara will provide insights to Dream Catcher members to help customize the perfect golf vacation – from playing the best courses and tweaking their golf game to discovering new golf experiences.

The new Golf Membership plan is available for a one-time refundable membership fee of $150,000 and annual dues of $17,500. Membership includes 15 days of access a year to luxury $3.25-million-plus golf vacation homes, green fees for the member and a guest at all courses, as well as the services of a private chef twice annually.

Additional individual and corporate membership plans are available, including an unlimited plan for a membership fee of $275,000 and annual dues of $17,000.

Dream Catcher will limit its membership to 400 to give members more choice of vacation homes. Currently, Dream Catchers has a member-to-home ratio of 4-to-1. For more information, visit www.dcr.com or call toll-free 800/690-7820.
