Park Extends Margin in Kraft Nabisco Championship

Inbee Park carded her second straight 5-under 67 to stretch her lead in the Kraft Nabisco Championship to three strokes. The LPGA Tour's first major of the year began Thursday at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Park, a four-time winner whose first title came in a major - the 2008 U.S. Women's Open - began Saturday with a one-shot lead. But the 24-year-old South Korean padded her edge with two birdies on the front nine and three more on the back in a flawless round that took her to 12-under 204, three strokes ahead of American Lizette Salas, who posted a 69.

Park is six ahead of a half-dozen players in third - Americans Angela Stanford (66) and Jessica Korda (68), Aussie Karrie Webb (67), Norway's Suzann Pettersen (67), France's Karin Icher (68), and Thailand's Pornanong Phatlum (70).

Stanford's 66 is the low round of the tournament.

Sweden's Caroline Hedwall, who began Saturday two strokes behind Park, posted a 72 and is now tied for ninth with Paula Creamer (69).

Giulia Sergas was in the same spot as Hedwall starting the third round, but the Italian posted a 4-over 76 to fall into a tie for 23rd at 1-under 215 with, among others, No. 1-ranked Stacy Lewis (71) and Michelle Wie (73).
