PGA of Australia & Asian Golf Monthly Ink Deal

The PGA of Australia, the most powerful golf organization in the South Pacific, has entered into a special arrangement with Asian Golf Monthly to promote the game of golf in their respective markets. The arrangement is hoped to expose golf developments in Asia to the Australian market and bring current news developments from Australia to Asia.

"We are very excited with this arrangement and we feel that it is going to serve our respective golf communities well in the long run," said Phil Ayres, general manager, Strategies and Operations of the PGA of Australia. "Asian Golf Monthly will function as our official media partner for the Asia region and we feel that this association with the region's most respected golf magazine will help us work on a number of programmes and projects that will be mutually beneficial to the growth of the game of golf."

The collaboration will work on a number of different platforms, including:

* The sharing of golf news and the publication of suitable and appropriate news items on the various communications vehicles that both organizations operate.
* Full coverage of all major tournaments.
* Special features on golf trends impacting the respective markets.
* Education programs designed to help upgrade the standard of golf course operations.

"We believe that the arrangements that have been agreed to will help bring expertise and know-how from Australia to Asia and this is going to benefit the growing industry in the region tremendously," said Mike Sebastian, publisher of Asian Golf Monthly.

Working together with the education and training arm of the PGA of Australia, it is expected that a series of educational seminars and symposiums will be organized in 2009 designed to address a wide range of topics including turf maintenance, club management and game development.

"It is our firm belief that this alliance will help Asia at a point in time when the industry is experiencing tremendous growth," added Sebastian."This partnership could not have come at a better time and we are definitely counting on the PGA of Australia to make its presence felt in Asia."

Asian Golf Monthly is Asia's only regional golf magazine in English and, besides publishing a monthly magazine, operates www.asiangolfmonthly.com and www.asiangolfdaily.com. Its sister company, Asia Pacific Golf Development Conferences Pte Ltd, publishes Asian Golf Business and owns the Asia Pacific Golf Development Summit - Asia's top golf business conference. The company also operates Asian Golf Business and Golf Conference.

"In stride with the growth of the golf industry in Asia, we have just launched Golf Business Dynamics, which is our research arm that will be doing a series of research projects on golf in Asia, "Sebastian said.
