Seeds Made for NCAA Men's Regionals

No. 1-ranked Oklahoma State will be traveling to Georgia for one NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional, while No. 2 Texas A&M will be staying home. Those pairings and more were made Monday by the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee. All 81 teams in the regionals will compete May 20-22 at six sites.

The other four top seeds are all from the powerful Pac-10. These teams and their regionals are: No. 3 Stanford at Warren Golf Club in South Bend, Ind.; No. 4 Washington at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.; No. 8 UCLA at Yale Golf Club in New Haven, Conn.; No. 9 Oregon at Carlton Oaks Golf Club in San Diego.

According to the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, the Cowboys will be the top-seeded team at the Capital City Club in Alpharetta, Ga. Defending NCAA champion Texas A&M will play at The Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas.

Thirteen teams and 10 individuals who are not members of those teams will compete in three of the regionals. The other three will feature fields of 14 teams and five individuals.

The top five teams from each of the six regionals (54 holes each) and the low individual not a member of those teams will advance to the NCAA Championship on June 1-6 at The Honors Course near Chattanooga, Tenn.
