Singh Ends Long Stint in Top-50

For the first time since 1992, Vijay Singh is not among the top-50 in the World Golf Rankings.

The Fijian is now ranked 51st after missing the cut in last week's Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio. It was the fifth straight tournament that the 47-year-old did not earn ranking points.

Singh has one tournament to get back into the top-50 or he will have to qualify for the U.S. Open in June at Pebble Beach.

The last time Singh was outside the top-50 was August 16, 1992. But he won the German Open the next week and has been at the top of the rankings ever since.

Over the past decade Singh is the only player other than Tiger Woods to be ranked No. 1 in the world.
