Tee It up Show Launches New Golf Magazine Linking Popular Radio Broadcast with Print

October 16, 2007. The nationally syndicated Tee It Up Show (heard throughout Southern California on Sunday mornings from 6-8 a.m. on KLAC radio, AM 570) has announced its expansion into print. Seeing such multi-media ventures as the way of the future, Tee It Up Magazine will present interviews, profiles, destination reviews and feature stories, capturing the essence of the game through insightful writing and vivid photography. Some of the content will be drawn from the radio show; and likewise, many print features will feed the broadcast. The first issue is planned for spring 2008.

Tee It Up Magazine is a partnership between Fourteenth Colony Productions and George Fuller/Simply Brilliant Publishing. The editorial content will be geared to golfers who live and love the game and the lifestyle that surrounds it. In addition to focusing on the game itself (equipment, professional tours, instruction), Tee It Up Magazine will fuel readers' passion for the good life before and after their rounds. This coverage embraces: travel, spas, food, wine and spirits, fashion, electronics, vacation homes and automobiles.

The magazine will be published five times per year: Winter (Jan.-Mar.), Spring (Apr.-May), Summer (June-Aug.), Fall (Sept.-Oct.) and Holiday (Nov.-Dec.). Initial distribution will be throughout Southern California via "request-controlled" circulation, drop points at select golf courses and resorts, and select newsstands. The magazine will also be available nationally via paid subscriptions, which will be promoted on air. A digital newsletter called "Stay Tuned to TEE IT UP" will be offered free through the website, www.teeitupshow.com.

Since 1996, golfers throughout Southern California have been listening to Alan and Adam Gottfried on the Tee It Up Show, In 2006, the popular program was syndicated nationally, and is now heard throughout the United States and Canada.

"We're thrilled to take the Tee It Up Show from the airwaves to print," says Adam Gottfried, president of Fourteenth Colony Productions. "For the past 12 years we've had some incredible guests on our show, from Arnold Palmer to Ice T, from Vijay Singh to Kathy Ireland, and being able to share their insights and thoughts on the game-along with some completely new content-with a whole new audience in a high-quality magazine format is very exciting."

"Golf to me is about the great places we play, from the California desert to the links of Scotland, from the windy shores of Hawaii to the peaceful mountains of Montana," Fuller says. "And it's also about the fantastic people we meet along the way, our experiences on and off the course, and the friendships and camaraderie that we develop through golf. That's what Tee It Up Magazine will be about."
