Tour Striker Success Leads to New Opportunities for Product Inventor - Tour Striker Academy Debuts at Sunriver Resort in May

May 31, 2011. Martin Chuck, PGA, has spent much of his adult life helping golfers become better players. He has a passion for teaching the game. Born from this passion was Tour Striker, the hugely popular golf training clubs invented by Chuck just a few years ago in his garage.

"I found myself teaching so many golfers who were trying to scoop the ball at the bottom of the swing," said Chuck. "That was how they tried to get the ball in the air. I wanted to create a club that would change their intent so they could hit down on the ball with forward shaft lean."

Chuck took the bottom grooves of an 8-iron to a grinding wheel, rounded the bottom third of the face, and the result was a club that promotes these very elements.

What started as a neat little tool used by Chuck with his golf students has blossomed into Tour Striker: the top selling training aid in golf. Tens of thousands have been sold in less than a year. Today, Tour Striker can be found in just about every major golf retail outlet in the United States and the company has global distribution handled through a state-of-the-art facility in Pinehurst, N.C.

Tour Striker Golf Academy

Tour Striker's success has opened up new opportunities for Chuck. The success has far exceeded anything Chuck could ever have imagined.

"I receive so much great feedback from golfers who have made their first hole-in-one, and from people who are consistently hitting their clubs more solidly and accurately," said Chuck. "The game is now more enjoyable for them, and for me, that's what it's all about."

After spending the last 15 plus years as the Director of Golf at prominent facilities in the Western US, Chuck will soon launch the Tour Striker Golf Academy at select locations. The summer location will be at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon, only a short drive from the town of Bend, one of the premier golf destinations in the United States. Schools will be offered from the end of May until the beginning of October.

"I've been fortunate in my career to work for some of the finest golf clubs anywhere," said Chuck, who most recently held the position of director of golf at Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, Oregon. "The success of Tour Striker is allowing me to follow my passion of helping golfers play better golf and have more fun striking the ball. I plan to bring the Tour Striker Golf Academy to a winter destination as well. Striking the ball well is so much fun, but there are a lot of elements to playing the game and I look forward to helping people not only strike it better, but play the game better."

The original Tour Striker 8 iron, Tour Striker Pro 7 iron, Tour Striker Pro X 7 iron, Tour Striker Pro 5 iron and Tour Striker 56-degree wedge training clubs feature distinctive designs that have little clubface below the "sweet spot" unlike a traditional club. The clubs have been designed so golfers intuitively teach themselves how to deliver the "sweet spot" of the club to the ball like an expert ball striker.

The Original Tour Striker is targeted for mid-to-high handicap golfers and those with slower swing speeds (under 90 mph with driver), while the Tour Striker Pro is geared for dedicated players with higher swing speeds and a handicap of 10 or less. Also available is a Tour Striker for women and younger players who wish to improve their game. The ladies/junior model is slightly shorter than the regular Tour Striker (35 inches vs. 36 inches) and has a graphite shaft appropriate for women and juniors.

The Tour Striker training clubs are cast of 433 stainless steel. The vibration dampening logo affixed within the back cavity helps reduce shock on miss-hit shots while developing your ball striking skills. The lie angle and shaft length may be modified at a nominal additional fee.

The Tour Striker commercials and instructional videos are produced by acclaimed golf production and marketing company, The Golf Agency.

The Tour Striker and Tour Striker Pro training clubs are available starting at $99.99. For more information on the Tour Striker Academy and to order clubs, visit www.tourstriker.com.
