Tseng Returns to IMG

Yani Tseng has gone back to her former management company, IMG.

"To me, IMG has the history in the business, the resources all around the world, and the leadership position in the industry to help me achieve all that I want to in my career," Tseng said in a statement.

"Working with IMG will allow me to focus on golf, knowing that the important management and marketing decisions are taken care of."

"Professional golf, but women's golf especially, is a global game and I have recognized the importance of having representation that reaches all corners of the globe," said Tseng.

"In women's golf, Yani Tseng is one of those important players. Her passion for the game, and the leadership position she has assumed within women's golf, have been every bit as impressive as her success on the golf course."

Tseng turned pro in 2007, and made it to the LPGA Tour the following year after finishing sixth in Q-School. Since then, she has racked up 15 LPGA titles, including five majors.

She worked for IMG the first two years as a pro, but then took over solo representation. IMG will oversee Tseng's management and marketing, with a focus on North America and Europe. The agency will work in partnership with Nihao and Tseng Yani International, her current management companies, in Asia.

Tseng was ranked No. 1 in the Rolex World Ranking for 109 straight weeks between 2011 and '13 before being supplanted by American Stacy Lewis earlier this year.

Tseng hasn't won since March 2012 in the Kia Classic and has dropped to No. 5 in the current rankings.
