'Two Good Rounds - Titans' by Elisa Gaudet

Elisa Gaudet is at it again. The prolific contributor to Cybergolf's "On the Lip" section has produced three books in the past three years.

Her first title, "Two Good Rounds," came out in 2011 and involves touring professionals and their preferred post-round drinks and favorite 19th holes. The second in 2013, "Two Good Rounds - Superstars," covers star athletes in a similar fashion.

Now in late 2014 comes No. 3 in the series. "Two Good Rounds - Titans" focuses on business leaders and how golf helped lead them to success.

The newest title provides snapshots of 33 notable titans of industry, many of whom have direct ties to the golf industry, including Julian Robertson, Herb Kohler, Paul Fireman, Peter Ueberroth, Peter Hill, Donald Trump, Mike Keiser, Ken Chu and Tom Cousins.

"In the book, each of these individuals reveals how golf enhanced their businesses and ultimately inspired them to own a golf course," says Gaudet.

Paul Fireman, founder of Reebok and owner of Liberty National Golf course, offers this advice to readers in "Titans": "When you go on a golf course with a person for four hours, you build a relationship in four hours that could otherwise take you 40 years to get. You have an understanding of the person. Golf teaches you a great deal: integrity, patience, perseverance."

Similarly formatted, with photos of the subjects, each book is a breezy read, with the latest delving a tad deeper into the featured people, including how they got involved in golf and other personal tidbits.

Also included are touring professionals who have leveraged successful golf careers into various business ventures. That group includes Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Anika Sorenstam, Greg Norman and Ben Crenshaw.

"The three books that comprise the 'Two Good Rounds' series offer a wonderful tribute to the great business people, elite athletes, and pro golfers who truly love golf," notes Gaudet. "They are a way to share inspirational stories about achieving success that we can all benefit from."
