Watson Sticks with Tried-and-True Menu

Bubba Watson served up the same fare as he did two years during Tuesday evening's Champions Dinner at Augusta National. The tradition involves the previous year's winner of the Masters to hold court in the clubhouse with his preferred choice of aliments.

Watson, who also won in 2012, said that the 2015 menu was the exact same as when he won his first green jacket in 2012: Caesar salad, grilled chicken breast, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn and macaroni and cheese with cornbread.

"In 2013, my first Champions Dinner, watching these legends talk, their stories, I didn't know what to do," Watson told reporters Tuesday afternoon. "I mean, I was like, are you sure I'm supposed to be here. You watch this and listen to the great champions and their stories, and I didn't talk, I just listened. My story is brand-new, so I didn't have any stories to add to this. It was pretty neat.

"This year, I'll go ahead and tell you, let y'all know - this is my only chance to let y'all know. It's going to be the exact same that I ate in 2012. It's the same meal because it's from my mom, home-cooked meal and that's why I do it."

The Champions Dinner started in 1952 when Ben Hogan hosted the first one. Since then, some of the dining experiences have been more exotic than others.

After winning the 1988 Masters, Scotsman Sandy Lyle served up haggis, while Fiji's 2000 champion Vijay Singh dished up Thai. Three-time champion Nick Faldo of England opted for shepherd's pie, Germany's Bernhard Langer went for schnitzel and Canada's Mike Weir offered his fellow champions elk and wild boar in 2004. Spain's Jose Maria Olazabal had Paella on the menu in 1995.
