Webb Still Up in Singapore

Hall of Fame member Karrie Webb carded a 2-under 70 to remain in the lead of the HSBC Women's Champions at Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore.

The 39-year-old Aussie recorded three birdies and a bogey to stay in front of Angela Stanford (69) and three ahead of Spain's Azahara Munoz (67) and Taiwan's Teresa Lu (70).

Webb went 13 holes Saturday with 12 pars and a bogey before posting three birdies in the final five holes.

"Even when I was not giving myself a lot of good birdie opportunities early on, I had to tell myself it's Saturday, there's plenty of golf left to be played and just to be patient," said Webb, who started the third round two shots ahead of Stanford. "And fortunately I listened to myself for a change."

Paula Creamer carded a 69 and is four behind Webb, who won the Women's Australian Open two weeks ago.

Stanford joked later about a way to improve her chances Sunday, "I'm going to send Webbie a six-pack (of beer) tonight," she said. Webb responded, "I'll probably drink wine coolers."

Morgan Pressel (70) is next at 210, and No. 2-ranked Suzann Pettersen also shot 70 to reach 211.

No. 1-ranked Inbee Park shot a 71 and shares 10th at 213 with, among others Michelle Wie (69).
