Woodland and Moore to Have Monday Playoff in Malaysia

Gary Woodland closed with a 3-under 69 to tie Ryan Moore after 72 holes of the CIMB Classic. The $7 million PGA Tour event is taking place at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Malaysia.

Because of two delays Sunday due to dangerous weather, the players weren't able to start the playoff immediately after Sunday's final round because of darkness. The extra session - starting on the par-5 18th - will be played Monday at 7:30 a.m. local time.

Moore, who began the final round tied for the lead with Chris Stroud at 12-under, carded a 2-under 70 Sunday to tie Woodland at 14-under 274.

Both players seemed relieved to start anew tomorrow instead of forging ahead. "It's honestly a little bit of a blur right now because today was so crazy with the weather on and off, and I think we're both pretty happy we just got done at this point," said Moore.

"But obviously to have to come back tomorrow for a playoff is not the worst thing ever. I'm just happy to be in it. I was scrambling there on the last hole just to somehow make a par and kind of see what happens at that point, and fortunately I still get another shot at it."

"Yeah, it was a long day, and like Ryan said, thankfully we got done, and there's a lot of worse things," added Woodland. "Changing a flight is not the end of the world, to come back and have a playoff tomorrow. Excited about that, and should be a fun day tomorrow."

Aaron Baddeley shot a 66 to rise into solo fifth. Another stroke back was Jimmy Walker (68), and finishing tied for seventh at 278 were Charles Howell III (68), Harris English (69) and Graham DeLaet (69).
