Woods Remains No. 1 in World

Despite not playing in last week's Valspar Championship and a T-25th finish in the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral two weeks ago, Tiger Woods remains the No. 1 golfer in the world.

The rankings, in fact, didn't change much from two weeks ago. Adam Scott - also idle over the weekend - stayed at No. 2 and was followed by Sweden's Henrik Stenson, Aussie Jason Day, Phil Mickelson, England's Justin Rose, Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Spaniard Sergio Garcia and Zach Johnson.

The only players switching places were Rose and McIlroy, and Garcia and Zach Johnson. Only Rose - who finished tied for eighth - played in the Valspar at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Valspar winner John Senden jumped significantly in the latest rankings released Monday. The Aussie moved from 123rd to 60th.

Spaniard Alejandro Cañizares went from 141st to 89th after his victory in the European Tour's Trophée Hassan II in Morocco.
