Arizona State Leads Final Poll of Fall Season


Arizona State has finished the fall season as the No. 1 team in the Golf World/NGCA Division I Coaches' Women's Poll, earning 25 of the 39 first-place votes. The defending NCAA champions won twice this fall at the Topy Cup and Stanford Invitational.

In total, ASU had four top-five finishes in four starts. The Sun Devils finished with a 41-6-1 head-to-head record and a .865 winning percentage. They were also 30-6-1 versus top-25 teams.

Rounding out the top five are UCLA (No. 2), Auburn (No. 3), Purdue (No. 4) and Duke (No. 5). Duke, which made the jump from No. 13, won the NCAA Preview to close its fall schedule.

UC Davis (No. 22) moved into the top-25, after beating UCLA and Southern California to win the Turtle Bay Invitational.
