Bradley Still on Top in Byron Nelson

Although there was no course-record setting round for him on Friday, Keegan Bradley maintained his lead in the HP Byron Nelson Championship. The $6.7 million PGA Tour event started Thursday at TPC Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas.

The 27-year-old from Vermont followed up his opening 10-under 60 with a 69 to reach 11-under 129, three strokes ahead - and the same margin he began the day with - of South Korean Sang-Moon Bae, who shot his second straight 66, and Tom Gillis, who matched the low round of the day, a 7-under 63. Also shooting 63 was Erik Compton.

Bradley, the 2011 PGA champion, could have forged a four-stroke lead but bogeyed the par-4 closing hole at the TPC Four Seasons course. That was his third dropped shot of the day against four birdies.

Sharing fourth at 133 are John Huh (64), Ryan Palmer (68) and Charl Schwartzel (70).

Tied for seventh at 6-under 134 are Graham DeLaet (67), Angel Cabrera (69), Ted Potter Jr. (70), Scott Piercy (68) and Gary Woodland (65).

The projected cut was set at even-par 140. With his second consecutive 70, defending champion Jason Dufner made it right on the number.

Playing on another sponsor's exemption, 14-year-old Chinese amateur Guan Tianlang shot a 7-over 77 and won't be around for the weekend. After making the cut - and finishing as the low amateur - in the Masters, Guan also made the cut in the Zurich Classic at New Orleans. So his MC in the Nelson is his first in three pro starts in the States.

"Just didn't play my best out there today," Guan told PGATour.com. "I still learned a lot. Still have a lot more to learn,"
