English Secures Second Victory of Career

Harris English fired a 6-under 65 win the OHL Classic at Mayakoba and nail down the second PGA Tour title of his career. The event took place at El Camaleon Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

The 24-year-old from Georgia, whose first victory came in June's FeEx St. Jude Classic, carded seven birdies and a bogey Sunday to finish at 21-under 263, four strokes ahead of Brian Stuard, who shot 67.

In addition to taking home $1.08 million, English earned 500 FedEx Cup points to move into second place on the season-long points' race behind Jimmy Walker. The OHL Classic was the sixth event on the PGA Tour's new 2013-14 schedule.

Tied for third at 268 were Jason Bohn (68), Chris Stroud (68) and Rory Sabbatini (70). Another stroke back were Justin Leonard (67), Justin Hicks (67), Charles Howell III (69) and Robert Karlsson.

Karlsson closed with a 1-over 72. He shared the overnight lead with English at 15-under par, with both players needing to complete their third rounds Sunday morning before the start of the final round.

The OHL Classic was plagued by weather-caused suspensions in its first two days, but the final round was played under sunny skies and was completed on time.

Defending champion John Huh carded a 68 to rise into a share of 23rd at 9-under 275.
