Sherri Daly has countered her husband's claims that she attacked him with a steak knife last Friday morning. In court papers, Sherri alleges that John Daly sexually assaulted her and covered up the incident by scratching his own face and claiming she attacked him.

John Daly told authorities on Friday that his wife tried to stab him with a steak knife. He had red marks on his cheeks when he showed up to play in the Stanford St. Jude Championship in Memphis.

Of his wife's accusations, Daly said, "It's just not true, Bub." The investigation continues.
