Nicklaus & Woods to Be On Wheaties Box


June 20, 2003. Although the debate over whether Jack Nicklaus or Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time is still unresolved, it's only taken a breakfast cereal to get them to appear together. The pair is about to be featured on a special edition Wheaties cereal box, according to General Mills officials. Woods has been an official Wheaties' spokesperson for some time, and has appeared on more than a dozen boxes, the new package will be the first time Nicklaus has ever been on a Wheaties package.

"Both Tiger and Jack have had an enduring influence on golf by playing the game like it was meant to be played," said Brian Kittelson, Wheaties marketing manager. "They are both great champions. While we've had a relationship with Tiger for a number of years, we are extraordinarily honored to welcome Jack Nicklaus into the Wheaties family."

The boxes will be appearing on store shelves later in June according to the company.

In addition to their pictures on the front of the box, the two men will have commentary on the back and some golf-related fitness tips from the American College of Sports Medicine.
