Park Continues to Shine in Taiwan

No. 1-ranked Inbee Park extended her 36-hole lead to four strokes in the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship following a 3-under 69. The $2 million tournament started Thursday at Miramar Country Club in Taipei.

After firing a 10-under 62 Friday that give her a three-stroke lead through two rounds, the 26-year-old Korean wasn't quite as hot Saturday as she carded four birdies, an eagle on the par-5 12th and three bogeys for a 54-hole total of 21-under 195.

"Overall, it was quite a good day," said Park. "It was quite different situation with the wind. It was playing a lot tougher. The downwind holes, it was tough to stop the ball on the green. We have quite tough holes out there but I think I managed myself quite good."

No. 2-ranked Stacy Lewis soared up the leaderboard into a tie for second with China's Shanshan Feng (70) at 17-under following an eight-birdie 64.

"I kind of got things together there," said Lewis, who was supplanted by Park as the top-ranked player in women's golf last Monday. "Played really good. The wind started blowing on seven, and my caddie kind of made a comment about it and I said good, that was my response.

"So I knew I needed some help with the weather to get a little bit closer and played some great golf there coming in."

Trailing Park by eight is Spain's Azahara Munoz (69), while nine back is Korean So Yeon Ryu (68). Colombia's Mariajo Uribe had a 67 to get to 11-under along with American Brittany Lang (68) and No. 3-ranked Lydia Ko (71) of New Zealand.

South Koreans Amy Yang and Eun-Hee Ji each shot 68s and are at 10-under 206 heading into Sunday's final round. Reigning U.S. Women's Open champion Michelle Wie had a 72 and is tied for 27th at 210.
