Perry & O'Hair Win Shootout


In Sunday's scramble format, Kenny Perry and Sean O'Hair carded a 12-under 60 to win the Franklin Templeton Shootout hosted by Greg Norman. The three-day, $3 million team event was held at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla.

The duo finished at 31-under, one stroke ahead of Rory Sabbatini and Charles Howell III, who posted Sunday's lowest score, a 15-under 57.

The 52-year-old Perry is the oldest player to win the event and it's his third Shootout title, each with different partners. Perry and O'Hair earned $375,000 each, while Sabbatini and Howell each took home $235,000.

Alone in third at 28-under were Jason Dufner and Vijay Singh (13-under 59), while sharing fourth at 27-under were Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker (14-under 58), Stewart Cink and Carl Pettersson (12-under 60) and first-round leaders Davis Love III and Brandt Snedeker (10-under 62).

The teams of Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele (12-under 60) - the defending champions - and Dustin Johnson and Ian Poulter (13-under 59) -2010 winners - tied for seventh at 25-under.

The rest of the 12-team field, in order of placement, include the teams of: Bud Cauley and Rickey Fowler and Justin Leonard and Scott Verplank (16-under total); Fredrik Jacobson and Norman (13-under); and Mark Calcavecchia and Mike Weir (10-under).
