Scott Still No. 1
Despite being idle last week, Adam Scott remains entrenched at the top of the latest World Golf Ranking, released Monday.
The 33-year-old Aussie is over a full point ahead of Sweden's Henrik Stenson, who moved up to second place after finishing second in the European Tour's BMW International Open in Germany.
Scott has 9.16 points, while Stenson has 8.12.
Moving to third is two-time Masters' champion Bubba Watson, followed by fellow American Matt Kuchar. Though he failed to make the 36-hole cut in the Quicken Loans National at Congressional Country Club, an event that benefits his foundation, Tiger Woods stayed in fifth place.
Rounding out the top-10 at are Australia's Jason Day, Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, England's Justin Rose, Spain's Sergio Garcia and Texan Jordan Spieth.
Rose ascended into the top 10 following his win Sunday at Congressional, where he edged Shawn Stefani on the first playoff hole to record his sixth career title on the PGA Tour.
Stefani, who's still seeking his first Tour victory, made a big jump, rising from No. 246 to No. 126 in the rankings. The Texan's high finish in the National also guaranteed him a spot in the British Open.
The year's third major will be held July 17-20 at Royal Liverpool in England.
