Stricker Has Herniated Disk
An MRI has confirmed that Steve Stricker has a herniated disk in his neck.
Stricker's agent at IMG, Jon Heaton, said Wednesday Stricker doesn't feel any pain, but that he's weak in his left arm.
Stricker must now decide on his treatment options and is talking with specialists. The fourth-ranked player in the world needs to determine soon if he's in good enough shape to play in the Presidents Cup.
The biennial competition will take place November 17-20 at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia. U.S. captain Fred Couples said that if Stricker can't play, he would be replaced by PGA champion Keegan Bradley.
