At first glance, the SV1 looks very similar to the company's past Speed Cart offerings, but closer inspection reveals several upgrades. The totally redesigned console for the SV1 is divided into three separate sections that allow one to separate and divide various electronic devices and accessories. This new console also conceals a slide-out tray for scorecard and pencil. Additionally, the drink holder has been moved from the console and is now a stand-alone connected to the side of the handle to allow more freedom to swivel. SV1 also comes standard with a cargo net that sits below the console and offers a convenient place to hold head covers or a layer of outerwear.
Additional improvements on the SV1 include the new E-Z Latch System to allow easier folding, unfolding and handle height adjustment; solid foam tires with anodized wheels to match the color of the frame; and a new brake system that replaces the former caliper brake with a new pin system to more securely lock the wheels in place.
Other standard accessories on the SV1 include an umbrella holder on the frame for closed umbrella storage and on the cart's handle for an open umbrella. Optional accessories include a Sun Mountain golf umbrella offering UV and weather protection, Cool-Paq™ cooler, Speed-Paq™ bag for extra storage, sand and seed mix bottle, and cart mitts that smartly attach to the cart handle. SV1 colors for 2011 include black, gold, silver, red, blue and charcoal.
Sun Mountain's Speed Cart was a revolutionary introduction in 1999. Golfers were presented with an ergonomic, foldable, three-wheeled push cart that required no assembly. It was sturdy, perfectly balanced, and it positioned golfers' backs, arms and shoulders in their most natural positions. This was something traditional two-wheeled pull carts could not and still do not offer. Sun Mountain has continually improved upon and added to its line of push carts to now include the collection of three-wheeled Speed Carts and the four-wheeled Micro-CartTM.
In addition to the walking carts, for over 25 years Sun Mountain has been designing and manufacturing functional, high-quality, lightweight golf bags for the serious golfer. Sun Mountain is responsible for many industry firsts, including being the first to use backpacking technology to produce a lightweight nylon golf bag, and being the first to develop a stand bag with integral legs. Sun Mountain is dedicated to finding the most innovative fabrics, the latest manufacturing processes, and the best designs to create a line of performance outerwear that protects from rain, wind and cold. The Sun Mountain Speed Cart® and ClubGlider® travel bag are leaders in their respective categories.
